A friendly character builder for Neverwinter. Pick your role, equip your gear, and watch the build come together — no spreadsheet skills required.
Pick what you want to do in a fight. Everything else flows from this.
Pick your flavor. Two paragon paths each — we'll trim the dropdown to whatever matches your role.
Paragon, race, item level. The three settings that decide what your stats actually do.
Your class sets the starting numbers. At levels 9 and 16 every ability gets a free +1. At the other six leveling-up points you pick two abilities and add +1 to each. Anything from gear or boons piles on top automatically. See Mekaniks → Abilities for what each ability score actually does in combat.
Click any slot. The pickers know which class wears what. Empty slots are just wasted Item Level. 🔒 Tip: click the lock on a filled slot to keep that exact piece — the optimizer will build the rest of your loadout around it.
The Primary artifact is the one with the active power you can press in a fight. The other three secondary artifacts don't have an active power — you equip them for their stat bonuses.
Twelve slots in total: 4 Offense, 4 Defense, 1 Utility, 2 Combat (one Strike, one Guard), and 1 Bonus. Universal enchants change what stat they give based on which slot you put them in.
Two slots, each adds a flat percent bonus. You can't equip the same overload in both slots — once you pick it for one, it won't appear as a choice for the other.
Top row gears up your summoned companion — Enchantment, Enhancement, and 3 Equipment slots. Bottom: pick the summoned companion itself, plus 5 active companions whose powers boost your stats.
Five mounts in your stable. Each gets a collar, a mount, and a set of insignias. Pick which Insignia Bonus you want per mount — slot the matching insignia categories and the row turns green. Using the same bonus on multiple mounts stacks with diminishing returns — bonuses with a known in-game ladder use their exact values (e.g. Guardian's Spirit 8% / 12% / 15%); others use the generic 100% / 50% / 25% curve (see Mekaniks → Stacking).
Bolster is what your top 10 companions and top 10 mounts by quality give you, even when they're not summoned. Type how many of each rarity you own and your bolster fills in automatically. See Mekaniks → Bolster for the per-tier table.
Spend your campaign points. Use the +/− buttons on each row to add or remove points. Master tier boons cost more per rank but each rank gives you all three of its effects.
One pick per category — whatever your guild's stronghold has unlocked. Offense, Defense, Utility.
Describe the fight you are building for. Every conditional bonus on your gear reads these values, and the optimizer scores every candidate against exactly this scenario. Want a different answer? Change the scenario and run again.
Who you run with: content type (dungeon / trial / solo), the party healer, and your allies' summoned companions and mount auras.
Choose items by category. Pick one in each group, up to three Belt Items, and turn on any always-on buffs your character has.
Damage mix from your slotted powers over the Time in combat you set: each encounter casts every cooldown (after Recharge Speed), each daily every AP bar, the strongest at-will fills the rest. Read-only; change your powers in Your Character → Your Powers.
Class mechanics for your class and paragon. Tick the ones that are up during the fight you are building for. Mechanics with numbers in their tooltip feed the stats; the rest are listed so nothing is forgotten.
Type your power's magnitude from the in-game tooltip. We'll show what one hit would actually do against a typical PvE enemy. See Mekaniks → Damage for the full formula.
This hit is computed against the fight you set in step 6 (zone, distance, enemies, health, party).
💡 Chance = how likely each outcome is on a single hit. All the cards below add up to 100% — every hit has to land in exactly one.
If you added +1% to each of these stats, how much would it help your damage (or healing)? The stat at the top is the one that helps you most right now. See Mekaniks → Priorities for the canonical priority list per role.
These numbers are for one hit against a typical enemy. They don't include special triggers from boons, set bonuses, or cooldowns. Treat them as a guide for where to invest next — not as exact in-fight damage.
